Position Summary:
Supervises a team of retail Market Cashiers that are responsible for maintaining the retail grocery sales areas, utilizing POS systems to handle transactions, both cash/credit and assisting in creating and maintaining a great shopping experience for all customers.  Must be able to answer questions from customers concerning Market operations and local area information. Must train staff to provide outstanding customer service at all times and assist in creating a loyal customer base.  Responsible for managing inventory, in-stock position, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational processes, expenses and revenue to market standards.  Ensures proper cash handling, balancing and end-of-day reports are completed accurately and promptly by team members.  
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
1.      Directly in charge of the overall operation 
2.      Manage the overall QSC of the store, insuring daily/weekly/monthly cleaning tasks are completed. 
3.      Program new items into the POS System
4.      Complete daily deposits
5.      Responsible for maintaining inventory, including ordering, stocking and pricing.
6.      Complete pricing analysis for all products and set pricing.
7.      Maintain store cash fund to set amount.  Insure proper cash handling is strictly followed.
8.      Supervise Market Cashiers.  
9.      Be Responsible for teams’ proper cash and credit handling policies and procedures, completion of daily cash and sales reports, use of POS systems and merchandise handling procedures.
10.  Ensure all new employees receive proper training, supervision and ensure correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
11.  Ensure employees are receiving training on POS system, proper cash handling policies and procedures and outstanding customer service. 
12.  Complete time card calculations and provide payroll information to Payroll department on a weekly basis.
13.  Assist in performing regular and timely Performance Evaluation discussions and documentation with members of team and promote team environment while providing individual growth opportunities for Direct Reports. 
14.  Foster a team environment, multi-task efficiently and maintain positive working relationships.
15.  Manage progressive discipline of the staff.
16.  Ensure that all communications are shared with employees in a timely and accurate manner, as appropriate.
17.  Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
1.      Prior supervisor experience
2.      Prior experience working with a POS system or cash handling experience
3.      High School Diploma or GED
4.      Good oral communication skills. 
5.      Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
6.       Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
7.      Prior retail grocery experience preferred
8.      Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.
 
Working Conditions:
Typical retail grocery environment. May be required to lift 50 lb. merchandise boxes.  Must be able to work varying schedules, weekends and holidays.
