Provides custodial services for the rooms as well as other public areas such as vending room and restrooms at the Hualapai Ranch at Grand Canyon West. Typical duties would include Gathering soiled laundry, separating, washing, drying, folding, and properly storing all linen, sweeping, mopping of floors, cleaning, and sanitizing bathrooms, changing bed linens and towels, restocking room amenities and trash collection. Stocking supply van for next day. Maintains all equipment in a clean, sanitized, safe and operable condition and uses proper safety and health procedures in the use of all chemicals.  Provides quality customer service at all times.

1.      Ability to physically complete custodial duties such as gathering and loading large bags of soiled linen, mopping, cleaning, and sanitizing bathrooms, making beds, collecting trash and cleaning mirrors and windows.

2.      Basic knowledge of cleaning products and chemicals and ability to learn and follow proper safety and use policies and procedures. 

3.      Ability to routinely climb stairs, walk, stand, bend and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

4.      Ability to work in a team environment and establish and maintain positive working relationships. Good client/customer service skills and the ability to work independently as well as in support of the group effort.

5.      Ability to work in all weather conditions. 

1.      Gather and properly bag all linen and trash.

2.      Clean and sanitize all areas, sink, toilet and shower, trash cans, beds, pillows, end tables, microwave, refrigerator, lamps, furniture, windows, window seals and mirrors, doorknobs, blinds, curtains and rugs.

3.      Restock all supplies in rooms. 

4.      Stock linens and make beds. (includes low to the ground trundle beds) 

5.      Sweep and mop floors. 

6.      Sort dirty laundry before washing, drying, folding, and properly storing.

7.      Cleaning and sanitization of laundry facility as well as supply van. 

8.      Stock the supply transport van for next days use. 

9.      Daily cleaning and sanitization of guest vending area, public restrooms, and kennels. 

10.  Stock Concierge cabin guest back up supplies.

11.  Answer visitor/tourists questions, gives directions, share information about GCW, the Hualapai history and culture, etc.

12.  Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

1.      Good oral communication skills. 

2.      High School Diploma or GED preferred. 

3.      Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.

4.      Driver’s license preferred for full time positions. 

 

Must be able to routinely walk, stand, bend and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. as part of duties.  Will require outdoor movement between rooms in completing duties. Must be able to work varying schedules, weekends and holidays.
